For Garcia Yachts, I developed a technical solution that significantly reduces internal workload and makes data management more efficient. At its core, the task was to establish synchronization between Garcia’s internal database and the CMS of the website. Previously, boats had to be created and maintained both in the secure company environment and separately in the Webflow CMS—a process that caused duplicate work and was prone to errors. The new solution is based on a cron job—a time-controlled program on the server that runs automatically at defined intervals. This cron job regularly checks Garcia’s database and synchronizes the maintained information with the website via the Webflow Developer API. This way, boats can be created and edited directly in the internal, secure system without requiring additional manual maintenance in the CMS. The solution was implemented on a virtual server that ensures secure communication between the systems.
